What Flash Internet can — and cannot — do

Flash Internet is a Windows network diagnostics and configuration utility. It is not a replacement for your ISP, router or physical network connection.

No “magic speed boost” promise

Flash Internet can measure connection performance, monitor traffic and apply supported Windows networking settings. Depending on your PC, router, ISP and current configuration, some changes may improve responsiveness, latency consistency or throughput. Other systems may show little or no measurable improvement.

The app cannot increase your internet plan beyond the speed or capacity provided by your ISP.

Network changes

Some features modify standard Windows network settings, including TCP/IP or QoS-related configuration. Review changes before applying them. Flash Internet provides a restore/defaults function for supported tweaks, but unusual enterprise policies, third-party VPNs, security software or custom network drivers may behave differently.

Speed, Ping and DNS results

Test results are snapshots and can vary because of server load, Wi-Fi quality, routing, background traffic, ISP congestion and distance. A faster DNS resolver may reduce domain lookup time, but it does not directly increase your subscribed download/upload bandwidth. Lower Ping is not guaranteed because most latency exists outside the PC and depends on the route to the destination server.

Third-party DNS providers

Flash Internet may list public DNS resolvers including Google Public DNS, Cloudflare, Quad9 and OpenDNS so users can compare latency and choose a resolver. These services are operated independently. Flash Internet is not sponsored, certified or endorsed by these providers unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Google and Google Public DNS are trademarks or services of Google LLC. Windows and Microsoft are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Cloudflare, Quad9, OpenDNS and other third-party names belong to their respective owners. Their use on this website or inside the app is for identification and compatibility information only.

Free software and availability

Flash Internet v1.4 is currently offered free of charge. Features, servers, downloads and compatibility may change as the project is updated. We may discontinue outdated builds when they are no longer supported or safe to distribute.

Use at your own discretion

The software is provided as a utility and diagnostic tool without a guarantee that every optimization will improve every network. Keep your Windows and network drivers updated, and avoid applying multiple unrelated optimizer tools at the same time because their settings can conflict.
