Privacy

Privacy, explained plainly

The Windows app and this website handle usage statistics separately. Website analytics is optional and app telemetry is controlled from the app settings.

1. Anonymous usage statistics from the Windows app

These statistics help us understand active installations, app versions and which features are useful. They are separate from website analytics and are not used for advertising profiles.

Data used when app telemetry is enabled

What the Windows app telemetry does not collect

How to turn app telemetry off

You can control app telemetry from Flash Internet → Settings → Privacy → Anonymous Usage Statistics. When disabled, Flash Internet should not send these usage events to the telemetry API.

2. Website analytics

This website can use Google Analytics to understand general website usage. It stays disabled unless you choose Allow analytics. Website analytics is separate from the Flash Internet Windows app telemetry described above.

If accepted, Google Analytics may process information such as website interactions, browser/device information, approximate location and a browser identifier/cookie according to Google's service behavior and your browser settings. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, passwords or other directly identifying form data to Google Analytics.

Why these statistics exist

We use aggregated statistics to answer practical questions such as how many installations are active, which app versions are still in use, which features are used most, and which website pages are useful. The goal is product maintenance and improvement, not building advertising profiles.

Third-party services and names

Flash Internet may display or let you test public DNS services such as Google Public DNS, Cloudflare, Quad9 and OpenDNS. These are third-party services. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Listing a DNS provider does not imply sponsorship, partnership or endorsement.
